Chapel offerings: CLS strives to teach kids how to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ through donation collections and service projects. Now through October 8, we are collecting food items for the Food for Kids program of the Arkansas Rice Depot. We can help kids have food for dinner and on the weekends! Kid friendly foods such as granola bars, ravioli, soup and individual cereal boxes are great!



Save the Date…and don’t cook dinner! Join us Monday, October 6 from 5-8 pm at the Larry’s Pizza on Bowman for CLS Spirit Night!

 

Parent-Teacher Conference Day is coming on Friday, October 17. Watch for sign up information to come. We are looking forward to meeting with you! Please note, there is no childcare on October 17 or 20 when we are out of school.

 

 Get the word out: Do you own a business? Do you know business owners personally? We have professional-quality brochures and signs sharing our school name, logo and information. Logo and name recognition is so important! Visit the school office for these items for your own business or another business. Yard signs are great in your neighborhood, too!

 

Sherry Bischof Scholarship Fund: Christ Lutheran School is proud to announce the Sherry Bischof Scholarship Fund, designed to offer financial assistance for CLS students. Sherry Bischof, a beloved former teacher enjoying retirement, believes in the ministry of CLS and wants families to experience the academic and spiritual education offered here. Donations can be made to Christ Lutheran School with the notation – Sherry Bischof Scholarship Fund. 100% of all donations will be placed in a separate bank account and used solely for financial assistance. Please share this wonderful news!

Kroger Card: Thank you for using your Kroger card to help CLS! Unfortunately, it is necessary each year by January 31 to re-enroll your card to benefit CLS. Please sign in to your Kroger account at www.kroger.com and Enroll through Tennessee (Memphis area) & Arkansas. The number for CLS is 80149. If you have not yet registered your card to CLS, please create an account and then follow the steps to enroll to help CLS. Thank you for supporting us with every swipe of your Kroger card!

  

Recycle AND help CLS! We collect small empty inkjet cartridges for recycling. We receive up to $4.00 for each cartridge recycled. Cartridges can be deposited in our collection bin located in the school office. Simply place your old cartridge in a plastic sandwich bag and deposit it in our collection bin. Most businesses simply throw their empty cartridges in the garbage so check at work to see if they would donate. No large laser/toner cartridges are accepted with this program. In addition to raising money for CLS, recycling inkjet cartridges has a positive impact on the environment. Consider the following: Nearly 1 million inkjets are thrown into our landfills every day. Less than 5% of the cartridges produced are recycled. It takes 1000 years for the plastic to decompose!

*Sign up your Kroger Card.

When you register your Kroger Plus Card with Christ Lutheran, the school receives a donation every time you use your card! Follow these steps to register your Kroger Plus Card today:

1. Go to www.kroger.com and “Create an Account”

2. Check your email and follow the steps provided to confirm your account

3. Go back to www.kroger.com and “Sign In”

4. Then click on the pull-down menu “Community”

5. Click on “Kroger Community Rewards”

6. Click on “Enroll Now” to register your card with Christ Lutheran – enter 80149 as the organization number and click on “save changes”

 

*Clip Box Tops and Campbell’s Labels.

It’s free money! Look for box tops and Campbell’s labels for education on food and household items, clip them and submit to CLS.

 

*Use a Target Red Card.

Whether it’s debit or credit, when you choose CLS as your organization, we receive 1% of every purchase AND you receive 5% at Target every time you use your card!
