    Hello Christ Lutheran family! Please join us on Wednesday, Oct. 3, at Larry’s Pizza on Bowman. This evening is a lot of fun. It is a chance to visit with friends and meet new families at CLS. We will receive a portion of the cost of each buffet purchased that evening between 5:00 and 8:00.  The teachers will  happily serve you pizza and drinks. Won't that be entertaining? In order for us to receive our percentage, you must present a CLS coupon when you pay for your dinner. Information about the coupons can be found in the Friday Flyer. Coupons may  also be printed off of our website. We will happily accept tips! Let's fill the tip jar! See you Wednesday night. Bring your appetite, because the pizza is marvelous!

     October 19 is the end of the first quarter! Please continue checking Edline for grades and assignments. The Friday Flyer also has many important announcements and calendar events you need to know. Stay informed!
     Parent - teacher conferences will be  held on October 25 from 4:00-6:00, and October 26 from 2:30 to 5:00. School will be dismissed at 2:00 on the 26th!
     The Book Fair/PALS meeting/Technology Night will be held on November 12. The Book Fair will continue through November 16. On Wednesday, November 14 CLS will host its annual Grandparents' Day. Stay tuned for more details!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

     Accelerated Reader tests can be taken in the classroom! Students read their favorite book and can take a test soon after they finish the book. Student progress and goals can be accessed by teachers using our new STAR program. Teachers can encourage students to achieve their goals and read on an appropriate, individualized reading level.

         Learning can be fun whether it is with flashcards on the carpet or Math Blaster on the iPad!

 

     Students are thrilled to be learning Spanish using Rosetta Stone! The computers in Reach Out are a great addition to the classroom. I enjoy hearing the students practice their pronunciation, as well as watching them practice their comprehension by matching pictures to phrases. Learning Strategies is a perfect time to learn using Rosetta Stone!
